Hey there!
So you’ve landed here looking to find out who is the creative eye behind the lens?
My name is Dan Wright, filmmaker, photographer and owner of Wooden Cinema Films.
Having filmed weddings for around 4 years alongside producing commercial and branded content, I set up Wooden Cinema Films in 2019 to provide a dedicated home for the wedding side of my business. With the wedding industry becoming increasingly saturated with businesses of all kinds, I realised I wanted to carve my own niche by producing short form cinematic wedding films that call upon real visual storytelling.
My goal on a wedding day is to blend in and be discreet in my approach to filming. I am looking to deliver to couples an emotive film that tells the story of the day, whilst retaining an element of authenticity where you can re-live moments as they happened. Oh yeah - and make you look awesome!
When I am not filming or editing, I enjoy stills photography as a hobby, sometimes swapping a digital sensor for a roll of film. I love being in the outdoors and have a passion for anything that is fast and on wheels…whether that is mountain biking or motorsport.
