SCOTTISH ELOPEMENT FILM - LUCY & ROSS

Elopements and small, intimate ceremonies are definitely a new favourite thing, especially in what feel like remote locations in the middle of nowhere.

That was the decision that my good friends Lucy & Ross took to celebrate their love for each other. When Ross reached out and asked me to film for them I was more than happy to oblige.

At the Striding Arches bothy, one of Dumfries & Galloway’s hidden gems just outside Moniaive, the pair exchanged vows in a ceremony led by Kathryn Hanson. Joining us on photography duty was Cam Pagan of Hemera Visuals.

Lucy chose a beautiful bouquet from M&S that really popped against the rugged colours of the landscape they chose to marry in. Her dress was from an independent dressmaker on Etsy.

Ross’ outfit was supplied from Anderson Kilts in Dumfries and included a Scottish Thistle buttonhole creatively made by Lucy from her flower selection at M&S.

Lucy & Ross’ private ceremony also proved that Dumfries & Galloway itself has loads of potential for elopement locations in the south of Scotland, equalling in beauty to hotspots such as Glencoe.
